DJ Malakai, known primarily by his stage name “DJ Malakai” has been a major player in the U.S. music scene for quite some time.
Largely influenced by hip hop, and R&B roots; DJ Malakai has a unique sound, an exquisite taste in content, as well as a mysticism to him that we cannot explain. Though very private with his personal life, he has given us glimpses into what we would like to call “an artistic shroud” that he seems to place over himself and his personal life maintaining all focus Directed towards his music, productions and works of literature.
As an accomplished music producer, recording engineer songwriter, recording artist, label owner and publisher, DJ Malakai has been able to experience and share many wonderful moments with some very well recognized and notable individuals such as: Joss Stone, King Von, ASAP Ferg, Elexis Ansley, Mike Jones, Lil Wyte Aktion, Teki, Tukay, Sancho Saucy, Lambo Go, and IAMSU just to name a few. But don’t sleep on his ability to discover and develop newly discovered and talented artists who otherwise would somewhat be overlooked. DJ Malakai’s latest release embodies just that “TBTV2” (The Beat Tape Volume 2) features Artists and musicians from all over the globe, displaying his wide range of versatility and knack for discovering talent.
