Just American News recently got a chance to interview Actress Milica Vrzic. We got insights into her work, her source of inspiration and much more!

Q. Welcome to Just American News, Milica. How are you doing?

As soon as the New Year starts, and the lazy Holidays are over, I am great. I am thriving in dynamic energy.

Q. Your film ‘Slotherhouse’ is now streaming on Hulu! And we will talk about it but before that please tell us a bit about yourself.

I am an international actress who was born and raised in Serbia, at the age of 18, I went to California to finish my last year of high school and continued with my education at the University afterward. I studied acting since I was 10 years old, and no matter what they say- I would never choose anything else. Besides acting, I am passionate about learning new things, I like languages, yoga, Krav Maga, socializing, and going to new places. I move at a very fast pace, and sometimes I lose track of my own rhythm. But I would say most importantly- I learned to follow my heart more than the ratio.

Q. What motivated you to embark on this journey to become an actress?

I don’t know if there was a specific moment. If we disregard the fact that I started performing Spanish soap operas in my living room at the age of 4, which is how I became fluent in Spanish. I would say I always had a passion for expressing my inner world externally. I was also always great at observing and even imitating. I think that when it was a moment to decide this, it just felt right. Acting is the only job where I can express everything that I want, with constant digging into human psychology. I feel free when I am acting.

Q. Speaking of Slotherhouse, any specific creative process that you followed while you were working on this project?

Slotherhouse was a very specific genre since it’s a comedy-horror. So I kinda tried to stay loose and goofy, while maintaining a certain kind of seriousness. It came naturally.

Q. Any word of advice for aspiring artists who are willing to start out in this field?

Every little step you take matters. Nothing comes overnight. Keep your goals clear and come back to them with an open heart. Follow intuition, and play smart. There are a lot of irregularities and paradoxes in acting. I think you have to find your own formula to stay healthy in mind above all. Find other things that matter to you in order to not over-stress, but I think they should be linked to acting so you can stay in shape and connected with people.

Q. What’s next? What other projects and films are you working on now?

As much as I would love to say, I have to maintain quiet for now.

Q. Lastly, as we ask all our guests on Just American News. Any closing thoughts that you would like to share with the world and our readers?

I am afraid to not sound too cheesy- but really, following intuition and heart in a combination with hard work is IT.
