Just American News got a chance to interview artist Ralfiz. We got insights into this journey, his source of inspiration and much more!

Q. It is wonderful to have you on Just American News! How are you doing?

Ralfiz: I’m fine thank you! At the moment.. still producing about 2-3 tracks a day to bring you guys feelings like I get when I listen to them…

Q. Please tell us about yourself and how did you embark on this journey as a musician?

Ralfiz: In middle school, I started with drum lessons. Drums were my passion for a long time until I started producing my own beats at the age of 17. My first publications appeared in 2017 on my Youtube channel, which is no longer officially listed today. From 2018 a few more beats followed on my current YouTube channel. At the beginning of 2019, my instrumental album AP Iced Out was released via Spotify. At the end of the year, AP Iced Out 2 followed. In 2020 I started rapping, getting the first features with Cole The VII and other well-known rappers on my album Gold Flow. I then uploaded the English language single The Bag via my accounts in August 2020. The first Swiss-German single Honey was released in 2021. With Honey, I was able to really gain a foothold in Switzerland for the first time. My single has now been streamed thousands of times. In mid-2021 I then released two more singles Love Me and Free Me.

Q. What inspired you to create your EP Album AP Iced Out 1 and 2?

Ralfiz: The need to make music. I feel to have to dedicate my life to make music, no matter what. It’s like an addiction, or like a religion. It’s an inner thing. I can’t imagine my life without it.

Q. Where do you get your inspiration to write the lyrics for your songs?

Ralfiz: It does so magically to do something that was never done before… I take the improvisation skills that any artist would be required to have in melody, harmony, rhythm, etc., and apply it on lyrical content – storytelling, rhyming, rhythm, boasting, etc.

Q. What lies ahead for you in the coming years? Any hints about your upcoming projects for our readers and music lovers?

Ralfiz: Still working on a lot of projects right now but actually… DJ Fly-D and me working on a new EP. I won’t tell too many, but it’s definitely going to be wild!

Q. Lastly, do you have any closing thoughts that you would like to share with the world and our readers?

Ralfiz: Stay focused… only do things you really love and be you!
