Just American News recently got a chance to interview Bunni Ambrosia in regard to her book Basket Case. We got insights into her book, her source of inspiration and much more!

Q. Welcome! How are you doing?

Hello! I’m doing too much but having fun anyway.

Q. Your new book “Basket Case” is now available on Amazon. Please tell us about your book.

I wanted to write an easy to digest book to help others reach their goals. I know starting is the hardest part of any success. So I detailed out how I define, execute, and ultimately reach all of my goals in as simple a structure as I could. My greatest hope for Basket Case is to help everyone who reads it to improve their lives and check off their bucket lists one step at a time.

Q. Any words of advice for aspiring writers?

Absolutely decide what your version of success looks like first. Is it just writing the book? Is it getting published? Is it being a best seller? Define that first. Then just start writing. You’ll go back to reorder and edit it later. Just get your thoughts on the page as they come. I don’t know any book that was written start to finish. Not even coloring books.

Q. Who is your favorite author and why?

Oh that’s difficult. There’s so many good ones. Jim Butcher, Diana Gabaldon, Dr Wayne Dyer, and Brené Brown are up there for sure. I guess I’ll have to say Kristin Hannah. She is uncanny with her ability to make the reader feel any and every emotion. She ripped my heart out and handed it to me with Night Road. It’s definitely my favorite book.

Q. What daily routines or habits keep your creativity flowing?

I’m a trucker and a long distance runner. That allows me the opportunity to think thru ideas and plot lines every day. I use a voice recorder to save ideas or quotes or whatever else during my day. Then I come back to them every few days to review. The review inspires me to get started writing.

Q. Finally, as we ask all our guests on Just American News, do you have any closing thoughts that you would like to share with the world and our readers?

Sure. For anyone who wishes they were creative, you are creative. Every action you take is an act of creation. What you are missing is the permission, to yourself, to do something that you don’t know how to do yet. Give yourself permission to suck a few times until you figure you out. Go try! Please, the world needs your creations.
